A-Minor Distraction

from Solidbody Sessions by Joseph R. Ellis

/

about

This song originally had an acoustic lead, but I was never happy with it. I made several attempts at re-recording the acoustic lead track, but it just wasn't happening. In my experience, when this happens, you just keep throwing guitars at it until you find one that works. This song seemed to work with my 2000 Gibson Gary Moore signature Les Paul, so that's what I finally used. The LP track was recorded via USB using a Mustang III amp with a British 60s (Vox) amp model. It also has some triangle chorus, stereo tape delay and 65 Fender spring reverb. The rhythm track features a 2012 Martin DC Aura and the bass track features a 2012 Rickenbacker 4003.
