about

Kind of a depressing mood on this one. I spent a large portion of my Christmas alone in a house with no power and no hot water when it was 8 degrees outside. I should be thankful for having a kerosene heater and running cold water, I guess. Anyhow, this was what I wrote Christmas Day after I got power back and thawed the pipes so I could get a hot shower. It features a 2011 American Deluxe Stratocaster on rhythm, a Behringer Poly D analog synth on bass and lead and a BeatBuddy on drums.

This was composed on an Aeros Loop Studio, which I still struggle with from time-to-time. My only lament was that the synth tracks had a bit of rhythm guitar on the left channel, which I didn't notice until I imported the audio files into my DAW. I've managed to prevent that in the past, but it got by me this time.

Note: This is a next-day remix.
